Our mission is to foster a positive and active community of players that are playing Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) consistently and frequently. The guild will primarily focus on end-game PVE content by fielding active progression teams that compete for guild, faction, and server first clears of content going forward while also actively recruiting and developing players with little or no end-game experience who are committed to self-improvement toward becoming the best end-game player they can be.
Culture and Values
We exist to foster a positive, friendly community of active end-game players. We insist on mutual respect to maintain an environment in which everyone feels welcome to join our diverse group of people and players. All members represent the guild at all times when in-game and on the guild website or TeamSpeak server and are expected to act in a way that reflects positively on the guild. We will be generous toward each other, we are here to have fun and help each other improve. Putting others down is unnecessary and creates divisions within a team and within the guild.
All members of the guild are expected to remain active and therefore we will not limit the number of "alts" each member can have in the guild until we are forced to make changes due to guild character caps, at which time arrangements will be made for less-used alts. We want to encourage frequent time together in-game, so any member that is inactive for more than 30 days will be removed from the guild, but also welcomed back at any time if able to return to more regular play. We still recognize that the guild is part of, but not the entirety of, each of our lives and everyone is encouraged to maintain a healthy balance for themselves.
Every member is a student and teacher of the game. We seek members that are willing to learn and improve themselves as players, but also members that are willing to pass on the knowledge they've gained. These are not two separate types of members, but dual mandates for each one of us to live up to. The guild will provide a framework for every member to have at least one "main" geared and capable of clearing SM Operations at level. The guild's core in-game focus will always be end-game PVE, so while we encourage varied gameplay and social activities, Flashpoints and Operations will always be the primary organized activities within the guild. Resources will be compiled for both fight mechanics and individual classes to help members learning new content or new classes on an ongoing basis.
We strive to build up all members to be geared and able to run Flashpoints and Operations according to their own difficulty preference and schedule. We will field multiple teams with each clearing content at their own pace with independent goals and expectations. In order to achieve this vision, each raid team is organized by a Captain. Anyone in the guild that wants to take on the responsibilities of leading a raid team can work with The Council to create an official team.
The requirements for a Captain to begin a new team are simple and transparent. The Captain will create a draft version of a forum post for the proposed team including the team's goals, requirements, schedule, and expectations. Once these have been endorsed by The Council, the Captain will post the information on the forum and create the calendar events for the team going forward. The Captain will resolve all disputes or roster questions within the framework of their team's goals, requirements, schedule, and expectations. The Council will be available to any member that wants to discuss a resolution, but as long as it falls within the team's founding framework the Captain's decision will be respected.
In addition to these official teams, our goal will be to have many opportunities for guild runs of Operations content multiple days per week at varying times. Anyone can create an event to organize an ad hoc group for any in game activity, so even if you cannot commit to a formal team there should be plenty of fun and challenging Operations opportunities available!
